Dis_place was a one-on-one immersive dance performance in The People's Hall, Nottingham. Visitors wore bone-conducting headphones as they were lead around a disused house. In each room they encountered live performers and 360 VR videos. Audience members' focus was constantly moved from the real, to the virtual, and back - a powerful experience that left some disoriented, some ecstatic and others teary. One room of the building was captured using volumetric video and recreated in VR complete with ghostly dancers.

Exhibited at Broadway Cinema, Nottingham. Several days were spent on-site developing ideas and trialling audio effects before the final exhibition. Photo credit-Julian Hughes. Download from and Viveport
